HUBZone Certification
The HUBZone certification is designed to encourage business development in Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) areas.
To qualify, you must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- You must be a small business
- Your business must be 51 percent owned and controlled by U.S. citizens, a Community Development Corporation, an agricultural cooperative, a Native Hawaiian organization, or an Indian tribe
- Your principal office must be located in a HUBZone
- 35% of your employees must reside in a HUBZone
Are you operating in a HUBZone? Find out here
It is acceptable if the HUBZone your principal office is located in is different than the one your employee(s) reside in. If you are the only employee of your business and you and your business are located in a HUBZone, then your business would qualify.
