About Me:
Dr. Indria Gillespie is the president of Gillespie Consulting Services (GCS), which is a certified State Small Business that specializes in government contracting, as well as providing classes and consulting aimed at helping small businesses to broaden their markets through government contracting. GCS also conducts program assessments, professional development trainings, as well as conduct program assessments.
Dr. Gillespie has over 20 years of government contracting experience. She was the director of two US SBA programs: the Veteran Business Outreach Center (VBOC) for nearly two years and a Small Business Development Center for over 5 years. Also, she managed a state program as a Deputy Sector Navigator. One of her duties was to provide practical business training to California community college business professors throughout 10 counties.
Also, her experience as a two-time bone marrow donor for two complete strangers was the catalyst to her developing Angels In Disguise, a nonprofit organization. Angels In Disguise (www.angels-in-disguise.org) whose mission is to conduct non-clinical research and increase awareness about the bone marrow registry and the critical need for Blacks, Hispanics, and Native Americans to join and donate bone marrow if matched.
Prior to business ownership, Dr. Gillespie had earned an MBA, magna cum laude, at National University in Sacramento, CA. Later, she had earned a doctorate degree, summa cum laude, in Education and Organizational Leadership at the University of the Pacific. She is also a U.S. Army veteran.
